+From today, we are putting into effect a new copyright statement for all submitters to Lallans and
+the Sangschaw to agree to. We believe that this is a fair statement, in line with other magazines,
+and reflects how we've already been doing things: the copyright statement will make our expectations
+explicit, so nobody can accuse us of skullduggery!
+
+The statement reads as follows:
+
+> Pieces submitted to Lallans, should be the original work of the person submitting them. Copyright
+> remains with the author, however, submitting a piece for inclusion gives the Scots Language
+> Society, though Lallans or other title, the right, in perpetuity, to republish the work in hard
+> copy or digital form and to reformat it as necessary.
+
+It is clearly displayed on the [submission page](/en-GB/submit).
