From today, we are putting into effect a new copyright statement for all submitters to Lallans and
the Sangschaw to agree to. We believe that this is a fair statement, in line with other magazines,
and reflects how we've already been doing things: the copyright statement will make our expectations
explicit, so nobody can accuse us of skullduggery!

The statement reads as follows:

> Pieces submitted to Lallans, should be the original work of the person submitting them. Copyright
> remains with the author, however, submitting a piece for inclusion gives the Scots Language
> Society, though Lallans or other title, the right, in perpetuity, to republish the work in hard
> copy or digital form and to reformat it as necessary.
